Annual Personal Membership Benefits

The South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is one of Corpus Christi’s five major attractions, and a leading South Texas nature tourism destination.

Membership, both personal and corporate/business, is a hugely important piece of a botanical garden’s budget! A botanical garden cannot be sustained without members. Membership is a two-way street. Members dues supply a substantial part of annual operating funds. And in return, members receive many valuable benefits which more than outweigh their yearly contribution. Please call us with any questions.

You may mail in your personal membership or corporate/business forms
and payment; or drop them off at the Visitors Center.

Funding Garden Growth & Maintenance

The South Texas Botanical Garden & Nature Center is operated by the Botanical and Nature Institute of South Texas, Inc. , a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. By mission, the Institute is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and appreciation of plants and the environment, in relation to personal and community education, well-being and scientific understanding. The South Texas Botanical Garden & Nature Center is the primary facility which conserves, preserves, displays and interprets native and adapted flora and fauna of South Texas. Revenue sources are personal and corporate memberships; admissions, grants and donations; Gift Shop sales; fund raisers; and education program fees. Although the STBGNC leases its site from the City, the Gardens and Institute are NOT tax-supported; and receives no funds from the local hotel-motel tax.
